Mendota Lutheran Home

Placing a loved one in a nursing facility is never an easy decision but sometimes it is necessary.  Jean Smith of Sublette placed her husband at the Mendota Lutheran Home three years ago when he needed more assistance than she was able to provide.

     “I had visited other nursing homes that didn’t seem very clean.  Mendota Lutheran Home smelled of cleanliness.  The people are so friendly and it is a really cheerful place to be.”

     “When I was debating about where to place my husband, my doctor stated that if he had a family member who needed nursing care, he would place them in the Mendota Lutheran Home.  I often wondered why we ended up in this area, since it is so far away from where we used to live.  I guess God had a plan for us to be here.”

     “I am at ease knowing that my husband is being so well cared for.  To my surprise, each and every time something happens, I receive a phone call – no matter how small. I am always well informed of what is going on.”

     “My husband is kept clean and well groomed.  Aside from being physically taken care of, he is also mentally cared for.  The workers really care about the residents.”
